August 2, 2013 – Conforms of Port Washington , WI is pleased to announce its acquisition of 100% of Esser-Werke Gmbh, located in Warstein, Germany. The combined company will aim to become the premier global provider of abrasive resistant pipe, wear parts, and system to the concrete and mining industries. Conforms and Esser both have been the leading providers of highly wear-resistant pipe in the United States and Europe respectively. In a joint statement Tom Hamilton, President and Al Kastelic, CEO of Conforms stated “We believe the combination of our 2 great companies will add value to our shareholders, employees, and most importantly, our customers. Expanding our markets to become a global leader will enhance value for all our constituents.”
For over 40 years Conforms as been a leader in the development and manufacture of concrete pumping systems and abrasion resistant piping systems to transport abrasive solids and slurries. The company was founded in 1969, with the goal of engineering a complete line of concrete pumping systems and accessories for the growing concrete pumping and mining markets.
Since 1949 Esser has developed highly wear-resistant conveying pipes for the Mining industry. In the early 1980s, Esser began to manufacture components for the concrete pumping industry. Today Esser pipe systems are well known worldwide for wear resistance, reliability, and economic efficiency.
