En 1948, se fund\u00f3 ESSER-WERKE con el nombre de West-Montan-Werke. Su principal \u00e1rea de actividad era la regi\u00f3n del Ruhr, con sus lucrativas minas de carb\u00f3n, que experimentaba un auge econ\u00f3mico tras la guerra. No fue hasta mediados de la d\u00e9cada de 1950, bajo la direcci\u00f3n de su fundador, el Dr. Hans Esser, que la empresa adopt\u00f3 el nombre que conserva hasta hoy.<\/p>
