PORT WASHINGTON, W<\/strong>I \u2014<\/strong> In einem k\u00fcrzlich gef\u00fchrten Interview gab Tim Bremner, Pr\u00e4sident und CEO von Foraco International, Einblicke in die Erfahrungen seines Unternehmens mit dem Ultra Tech 600-Rohr in anspruchsvollen Bohrlochanwendungen im Bergbau. Foraco International SA ist der drittgr\u00f6\u00dfte Mineralbohrdienstleister weltweit und bietet innovative L\u00f6sungen f\u00fcr den Bergbau auf f\u00fcnf Kontinenten. Mit \u00fcber vier Jahrzehnten Erfahrung im Bohrwesen und fast 100 Bohranlagen in ganz Kanada wei\u00df Bremner, worauf es bei Pr\u00e4zision und Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit unter Tage ankommt \u2013 und er ist \u00fcberzeugt, dass Ultra Tech beides bietet.
Laut Bremner haben technisches Know-how und Zuverl\u00e4ssigkeit das Wachstum von Foraco vorangetrieben: \u201cEine unserer Spezialisierungen war das Richtbohren; die F\u00e4higkeit, das Loch genau dort zu bohren, wo unsere Kunden es w\u00fcnschen, und zwar in einer geraden Linie. Das klingt vielleicht nicht nach einer gro\u00dfen Sache, ist es aber nicht.\u201d<\/p>

Foracos Zusammenarbeit mit Ultra Tech begann 2019 mit einem Projekt zur Installation von zwei Pastenf\u00fcllbohrungen, umfangreichen unterirdischen Vermessungsarbeiten und Kernbohrungen f\u00fcr einen abgelegenen kanadischen Bergbaubetrieb. Da Ultra Tech-Rohre in den Projektspezifikationen enthalten waren, musste Bremner sicher sein, dass Ultra Tech 600 den Anforderungen der Anwendung gerecht werden w\u00fcrde: \u201cIch bin ins Flugzeug gestiegen und zu Ihrem Werk in Port Washington geflogen, um alles \u00fcber Ihr Produkt zu erfahren: die Herstellung, den Qualit\u00e4tskontrollprozess und alles Weitere. Wir haben Ihr Labor besucht und die zerst\u00f6renden Pr\u00fcfungen gesehen, die Sie an dem Produkt durchf\u00fchren.\u201d<\/p>

Foraco arbeitete eng mit dem Vertriebs- und Entwicklungsteam von Ultra Tech zusammen, um Zentrierer an der Au\u00dfenwand des Rohrs zu konstruieren, die sicherstellen sollten, dass die Leitung im Bohrloch zentriert bleibt. Die Schwei\u00dfverfahren wurden bei Ultra Tech getestet, bevor das Rohr per Schiff zum Bergwerk transportiert wurde. \u201cEs ging bis ans Ende der Welt \u2026 und es musste perfekt sein\u201d, erinnerte sich Bremner. \u201cBeim Einbau ins Bohrloch lief alles reibungslos. Wir wussten mit Sicherheit, dass alles den Spezifikationen entsprach. Die Bohrl\u00f6cher waren gerade, und alles lief wie am Schn\u00fcrchen \u2026 denn wenn man einmal mit so einem Projekt angefangen hat, gibt es kein Halten mehr, man ist voll und ganz dabei. Anschlie\u00dfend haben wir das Produkt einbetoniert.\u201d<\/p>

Foraco erwarb sich in der Branche schnell einen Ruf f\u00fcr seine technische Expertise im Bereich Pastenf\u00fcllungsbohrungen und -verrohrung. Bremner merkte an: \u201c\u2026jedes Projekt ist einzigartig. Es h\u00e4ngt von den Bodenverh\u00e4ltnissen ab. Es h\u00e4ngt vom Bohrlochwinkel ab. Es h\u00e4ngt vom Bohrlochdurchmesser und der geplanten Wandst\u00e4rke des Produkts ab, und es h\u00e4ngt davon ab, wie es suspendiert wird. Bei einem Durchbruchsbohrloch kommt das Grundwasser ins Spiel, und das ist eine ganz andere Angelegenheit.\u201d<\/p>

Zu dieser Zeit entwickelte Ultra Tech eine Schl\u00fcsselinnovation, die die Installation und Leistung von Pastenf\u00fcllleitungen deutlich verbessern sollte: Gewinderohre f\u00fcr Bohrloch- und Vertikalanwendungen. Bisherige Systeme basierten auf Schwei\u00dfverbindungen, deren Installation viele Arbeitsstunden in Anspruch nahm, w\u00e4hrend das Rohr in gef\u00e4hrlichen Situationen aufgeh\u00e4ngt war. Nach umfangreicher Entwicklung und Erprobung war das Gewinderohr von Ultra Tech bereit f\u00fcr die erste Installation. Bremner erinnert sich: \u201cWir sahen in diesem Gewindeprodukt einen Durchbruch. Wir verwenden es fast ausschlie\u00dflich bei Arbeiten mit Pastenf\u00fcllleitungen. Tats\u00e4chlich haben wir nichts anderes verwendet, und wir empfehlen dieses Produkt jedem einzelnen Kunden, mit dem wir sprechen.\u201d<\/p>

Auf die Frage nach den Installationsvorteilen der Gewinderohre von Ultra Tech im Vergleich zu herk\u00f6mmlichen Schwei\u00dfverfahren erkl\u00e4rte Bremner: \u201cEs geht deutlich schneller. Um es mal so auszudr\u00fccken: Mit der Gewindeverbindung ist die Verbindung in wenigen Minuten hergestellt. Man bearbeitet die Gewindeverbindung, stellt die Verbindung her, schneidet das Gewinde, zieht es fest \u2013 fertig. Beim Schwei\u00dfen hingegen muss man die Auswirkungen auf die Induktionsh\u00e4rtung ber\u00fccksichtigen. Daf\u00fcr braucht man einen zertifizierten Schwei\u00dfer und bis zu 90 Minuten Vorbereitungszeit. Rechnen Sie es sich einfach aus, wenn Sie 100 Gewindeverbindungen haben. Es ist ein Kinderspiel. Man spart Tage, wenn nicht Wochen bei der Installation. Wir haben eine 400 Meter lange Leitung in 30 Stunden verlegt, wof\u00fcr wir sonst eine Woche gebraucht h\u00e4tten. Ich w\u00fcrde sagen, es ist sieben- bis zehnmal schneller. Es ist ein enormer Vorteil und viel sicherer.\u201d<\/p>

Bremner lobte zudem Ultra Techs Engagement f\u00fcr die Zusammenarbeit im Ingenieurwesen und die Probleml\u00f6sungskompetenz: \u201cEs ist das tiefe Verst\u00e4ndnis des gesamten Prozesses, das Ihr Unternehmen besitzt \u2026 und die L\u00f6sungen, die Sie uns bieten, geben uns die Flexibilit\u00e4t, Unbekanntes zu meistern. Beispielsweise macht das Gewindeprodukt einen enormen Unterschied. Die M\u00f6glichkeit, die Au\u00dfenseite des Produkts anzupassen, ohne die Induktionsh\u00e4rtung im Inneren zu beeintr\u00e4chtigen, um den besonderen Bedingungen im Bohrloch gerecht zu werden, ist von unsch\u00e4tzbarem Wert. Die Konkurrenz bietet ihre Produkte einfach so an: \u2018Hier ist es. Sch\u00f6nen Tag noch. Hoffentlich funktioniert es f\u00fcr Sie.\u2019\u201d<\/p>

Bremner hob die Langlebigkeit der Ultra Tech-Auspuffanlagen hervor und betonte die Bedeutung gleichbleibender Rohstoffe und strenger Fertigungsstandards. \u201cWas Ihnen besonders zugutekommt \u2013 und das ist meine Einsch\u00e4tzung als Au\u00dfenstehender, und es mag stimmen oder auch nicht \u2013 ist, dass Sie sehr hohe Anspr\u00fcche an Ihre Rohstoffe stellen. Sie sind von sehr hoher Qualit\u00e4t, und Sie halten sich strikt an Ihre Prozesse, um ein gutes, gleichbleibendes Produkt herzustellen.
